The London production company Pioneer Productions, as we read in laverdad.es, have 10 houses to make a documentary about the ways of living of the finest works of architecture of the XXI century. The so-called 'House of Pines', internationally known as' among pines'-House, was designed by architect Javier Peña Galiano and has been one of the chosen.
The house, situated in Montepinar, is performed as an 'interface', a device that allows the use of intermediary places difficult occupation. The bottom is a drain on the mountain, where embedded uses less need sunlight and access to the main floor. Between this access and the plot, the shadow cast by the building creates a suburban lobby, exterior and designed to access the car.
The top, by contrast, is a staple that you click on the ground, which is suspended, and that generates a south facade introducing the sun and wind in the living spaces of the house. Appears inside the sun, the sky, the reflection of the trees, transparency, cross views between rooms, between different heights.
The 'Casa de los Pinos' has been recognized on numerous occasions as the good work of contemporary architecture, selected in 2009 in Architecture Awards Mies van der Rohe and Regional Awards in Architecture and Urbanism of the Region Murcia in its 2007 edition won first prize in the architecture category.
